Timber Grove provides accommodation and personal care for up to 15 adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or sensory impairments in an adapted single-storey building. During an unannounced inspection, families and professionals highlighted a warm, home-from-home atmosphere where residents are supported to live ordinary, independent lives. While the home demonstrates strong standards across all areas, the report notes that some relatives were unfamiliar with the formal complaints procedure, pointing to a need for better communication regarding how to raise official concerns.

The home maintains a safe environment with sufficient numbers of well-trained staff, secure medicine management, and thorough risk assessments that allow residents to stay safe while keeping maximum freedom.

Staff receive comprehensive training and support, including specialist frameworks and mental capacity practices, ensuring residents are offered meaningful daily choices and a balanced diet tailored to their health needs.

Residents are cared for by compassionate, long-serving staff who respect their dignity, communicate through accessible formats like Makaton, and actively encourage personal independence and family connections.

Care is highly individualized, with residents supported to pursue hobbies like horse riding and go on holidays, though future planning is also underway to transition residents into new bespoke buildings on site with the help of independent advocates.
