Terms of use
Last updated: 19 August 2026.
These terms apply to your use of icare.company (the "site"). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What the site is
iCare is an informational directory of care homes registered in England with the Care Quality Commission. Ratings, inspection dates and registration details are drawn from CQC data and refreshed on a schedule described in how we source our data. Editorial inspection summaries, where present, are generated as described on that page.
Not advice
Nothing on this site is medical, care, financial or legal advice, and nothing on it should be relied on as a substitute for professional advice or for the care home's or provider's own current information. Where the site references costs, they are regional estimates, not a quote from any specific home. Before making a decision about care for yourself or someone else, verify current details directly with the home or provider and, where relevant, take independent professional advice.
Accuracy
We work to keep the data on this site accurate and current, and every listing shows when it was last checked against the CQC's own records. Regulatory data changes, and there may be a gap between a change at the CQC and its reflection here. If you spot something that looks wrong, please tell us — we do not guarantee that any specific page is complete or error-free, and use of the site is at your own judgement.
Third-party data and links
Care home registration data is sourced from the Care Quality Commission under the Open Government Licence. We are not affiliated with the CQC. Links to CQC inspection reports and other third-party sites take you off icare.company to a site we don't control and aren't responsible for.
No pay-for-ranking
No care home, provider or third party can pay to change how a home is rated, sorted or displayed on this site, as set out in our editorial policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site — including attempting to disrupt it, scrape it at a scale that degrades service for others, or submit false information through a form on the site (such as a correction request or, once launched, a review).
Liability
The site is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, except where that liability cannot be excluded under English law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site changes, and will update the date at the top when we do.
