The service utilized up-to-date best practices, including positive behaviour support, and residents were actively involved in planning their meals and making healthy lifestyle choices, with significant positive impacts noted by healthcare professionals.

On caring, residents consistently described staff as kind, supportive, and respectful, feeling that their opinions were valued. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, with staff providing discreet yet attentive support that allowed for privacy and personal space, enabling residents to develop new skills and increase their independence.

The service was responsive to residents' needs and preferences. Support plans were individualised, incorporating residents' goals and aspirations. The inspection found that residents were well-supported to maintain contact with family and friends and to build new relationships, with a focus on enabling them to achieve their ambitions.

In terms of being well-led, there was a clear commitment from the registered manager and staff to provide person-centred care focused on independence and quality of life. Regular audits were conducted to ensure safety and compliance, and feedback from residents and professionals was actively sought and valued by the management. The registered manager was noted for their passion and experience in this field.
