The home provides a safe environment where medicines are managed securely, risk assessments are comprehensive with clear mitigation steps, and appropriate infection control and recruitment processes are in place, though staff note that mornings can occasionally feel challenging.

Residents are treated with genuine compassion and respect, appearing well-presented and comfortable, with staff engaging them in a friendly manner; however, inspectors did note one instance where two residents were left unassisted with their meals for a period before staff stepped in to help patiently.

Care is highly responsive to individual needs, offering flexible daily choices, engaging activities, tailored communication methods, and strong family involvement, alongside a newly introduced bar area and effective arrangements for maintaining contact with loved ones during the pandemic.

Leadership is strong and proactive, fostering an open and inclusive culture through informal initiatives like coffee and chats instead of formal questionnaires, while regular audits and partnership working with external health agencies help drive continuous improvements across the service.
