Malmesbury Lawn Care Home

The home prioritised safe medication administration, with staff demonstrating competency and adherence to best practices. Infection control measures were effective, keeping the home clean and odour-free.

Regarding effectiveness, the care provided consistently achieved good outcomes for residents. Assessments were thorough, and care plans were detailed, ensuring staff understood individual needs. The home invested in staff development, with comprehensive training and regular supervision. Residents were supported to maintain a balanced diet with appealing food options and attentive staff, and the home's environment had been thoughtfully adapted to support those with dementia.

On caring, residents were treated with compassion, kindness, and respect. Staff actively involved residents in their care decisions, respecting their independence and promoting their well-being. The home was noted for its inclusive approach, accommodating diverse needs and ensuring effective communication.

The service was outstandingly responsive, with a strong focus on community integration. The home actively fostered links with the outside community, organising events that benefited residents' well-being and inclusion. Complaints and concerns were handled promptly and seriously, demonstrating a commitment to resident satisfaction.

In its leadership, the home was well-led, with a registered manager who demonstrated a positive example and fostered a relaxed, respectful atmosphere. Staff felt supported, confident in their roles, and encouraged to challenge practices for the benefit of residents. Systems were in place for quality monitoring and continuous improvement.
