Maple House

Maple House is a residential care home that was providing personal care and accommodation to 5 people at the time of the inspection. The daily experience for residents lacked a truly caring environment, failing to consistently promote dignity, human rights, and privacy. While relatives appreciated some aspects of staff communication and healthcare appointments, the overall culture did not empower residents.

The service was not always responsive to individual needs, particularly in ensuring people had good access to leisure activities outside the home, and care was not consistently tailored to each person.

Leadership and oversight failed to ensure a safe and high-quality environment. Management did not effectively investigate incidents, address a closed staff culture, or maintain proper governance, leading to multiple breaches of regulations and placing the service into special measures for urgent monitoring and improvement.
