On safety, the home demonstrates robust safeguarding procedures, with staff well-trained to identify and report abuse, and appropriate investigations carried out for any incidents. Risk assessments are detailed, guiding staff on managing anxiety and behaviour, and the service uses physical intervention techniques safely and appropriately when needed. The Mental Capacity Act is applied correctly, with necessary authorisations in place, and medication management is secure, with staff competency regularly checked. Infection control measures are well-managed, and the home is kept clean and tidy.

In terms of how effective the care is, individuals receive person-centred support that promotes their dignity, privacy, and human rights. The model of care actively maximises people's choice, control, and independence, with staff trained to support individuals in the least restrictive way possible. People's needs are thoroughly assessed and met, and any necessary additional support is arranged through appropriate signposting.

Regarding caring practices, the ethos and behaviours of leaders and staff contribute to individuals leading confident, inclusive, and empowered lives. Staff are described as knowledgeable and having good values, with positive relationships observed between staff and residents.

The responsiveness of the service is evident in how it handles complaints, ensuring they are investigated and responded to appropriately. When individuals require further assistance after treatment plans conclude, the provider actively supports them by directing them to relevant organisations.

Finally, on how well-led the service is, the management team and staff foster a culture of inclusion and person-centred care, leading to positive outcomes for residents. Effective quality assurance measures are in place, and the registered manager is knowledgeable about regulatory responsibilities. While the service excels in many areas, an area for development identified was in sexual health support, relationship guidance, and safe sexual hygiene, for which the registered manager has taken immediate action.
