St James House

Medicines and infection prevention and control were managed safely, and the premises were visibly clean with a compliant laundry room.

Care was tailored to individual needs, focusing on helping people gain new skills and become more independent through person-centred care records.

Staff supported residents to access the community and undertake person-centred activities such as horse riding, swimming, and garden activities during pandemic restrictions.

Staff listened to residents and relatives, treated people with dignity and respect, and embraced personal differences including religion, culture, and sexuality.

The management team maintained strong oversight with comprehensive auditing and effective quality assurance processes, while working closely with outside professionals like GPs and social workers to monitor health needs.
