Staff go to great lengths to promote privacy, dignity, and independence, fostering strong relationships with residents and their families.
In terms of being Responsive, the home delivers highly personalised care tailored to individual needs and preferences. Residents are encouraged to have choice and control over their lives, with detailed care plans reflecting their histories, cultural backgrounds, and interests. Staff proactively work to minimise anxiety and ensure residents can participate in meaningful activities. While most communication needs are met, a specific request for a care plan in capital letters was noted and is being addressed.
Finally, the Well-led aspect of the service shows significant improvement. The management team demonstrates effective oversight and works collaboratively with staff. Audits are now in place and feedback from residents, relatives, and professionals is actively sought and used to drive improvements. There is a clear commitment to learning from incidents and fostering an open, supportive culture.
