Esher Manor Care Home

Signature at Esher provides accommodation and personal care for up to 88 older people, including those living with dementia, with 53 residents living there at the time of our inspection. Overall, the service is built on a stable, well-managed environment where residents and their relatives consistently share positive feedback about the support they receive from an attentive and familiar staff team.

Residents feel safe and protected from avoidable harm thanks to knowledgeable staff who understand individual risks, proper safeguarding procedures, and up-to-date infection control practices aligned with national guidance.

Care is effectively planned based on thorough assessments of physical and mental health, supported by a well-structured staff induction and training program, though medication schedules for time-critical prescriptions required immediate adjustments by management to ensure consistent timing.

Staff treat residents with genuine kindness, empathy, and respect for their personal preferences and diversity, actively involving them in daily choices and maintaining their personal dignity and grooming.

The service is highly responsive to individual needs, offering a wide and engaging range of activities, community trips, cultural celebrations, and tailored support to help residents maintain important personal relationships.

Leadership is clear and positive, supported by effective quality monitoring systems, and the management team takes prompt action when improvements are needed while maintaining strong communication with families and healthcare professionals.
