Hale Place Farmhouse provides residential care for up to 13 older people, many of whom are living with dementia. This report details findings from an inspection conducted in September 2017. Overall, the service was highly regarded by residents and their families, with many praising the quality of care and the welcoming atmosphere. The inspection focused on five key areas to assess the effectiveness and quality of the service provided.

Regarding safety, the home ensured residents were protected from harm and abuse, with staff demonstrating a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures. Risk assessments were thorough, and appropriate measures were in place to minimise hazards, ensuring residents' health and wellbeing. The management of medicines was also handled safely, with secure storage and accurate administration records.

In terms of how effective the care is, staff were well-trained and skilled to meet residents' individual needs, with ongoing professional development opportunities available.
