The inspection aimed to assess the quality of care provided, ensuring it meets regulatory standards and best practice guidance, with a focus on promoting independence and inclusion.
Regarding safety, residents are protected from abuse by well-trained staff who understand safeguarding procedures and risk management. Sufficient staffing levels and robust recruitment processes ensure resident safety. Medicines are administered safely by trained staff, and the home maintains high standards of cleanliness to prevent infection.
In terms of effective care, residents’ health and wellbeing needs are comprehensively assessed and supported by care plans that are regularly updated. Staff receive appropriate training and support to deliver care. The home fosters an inclusive environment, actively involving residents in meal planning and supporting their engagement with healthcare professionals.
The care provided is consistently described as caring, with staff showing warmth, respect, and genuine understanding of residents' needs. Residents feel comfortable expressing their views and making decisions, and their individuality and personal preferences are respected in care planning and daily interactions. Dignity and privacy are paramount in all interactions.

While many aspects of the service are well-managed, the leadership and management of the home require improvement.
