Maypole Care Home is a residential and nursing care facility for up to 68 adults with physical disabilities or health conditions. This report summarises an inspection conducted in November 2022, focusing on key aspects of the home's operation.
Regarding safety, the home ensures residents are protected from harm through robust safeguarding procedures and staff awareness. Risk assessments are thorough and updated to mitigate potential dangers, and medicines are managed securely, ensuring residents receive them as prescribed. The premises are kept clean, and infection control measures are in line with current government guidelines. While staff recruitment is generally good, there was a transition period for certain checks being transferred internally.

While there have been management changes, staff and relatives have reported positive developments. The service is adapting its environment to better meet residents' needs, including ongoing refurbishments. The home consistently operates within the principles of the Mental Capacity Act, ensuring residents' rights and choices are upheld.
