Staff receive good support, training, and supervision to ensure they have the necessary skills. Residents are supported to eat and drink well, and their healthcare needs are monitored, with effective collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

The home is described as caring, with staff treating residents with respect, kindness, and attentiveness, allowing them to make choices about their care and daily lives. Residents' privacy and dignity are maintained, and they are supported to remain independent where possible, with care records containing person-centred information.

However, the service requires improvement in its responsiveness. While people's communication needs are known, there is potential to use more alternative methods, particularly for those living with dementia. Furthermore, residents do not always receive person-centred activities that are meaningful to them, as their likes and interests have not always been fully utilized in activity planning.

In terms of leadership, the home is well-led, with a positive and person-centred culture fostered by the manager. Care records are detailed and up-to-date, risk management systems are robust, and quality assurance processes are used to monitor safety and quality. The provider and manager proactively seek improvements and monitor progress on action plans.
