Signature at Weybridge provides residential care for older adults, including those living with dementia and physical health needs. During our inspection, we spoke with residents, relatives, and staff to understand what life is like at the home. Overall, the feedback highlights a supportive environment where individuals are known well, feel secure, and receive personalized attention tailored to their daily routines and preferences.
Residents consistently shared that they feel secure in the home and trust the staff supporting them. Risk assessments and safety measures, such as movement sensors and mobility equipment, are actively used to prevent avoidable harm without unnecessarily restricting independence. Staff undergo thorough pre-employment checks, and there are enough team members available so that help is provided promptly when requested. Medicines are managed safely through regular audits and competent administration, and infection prevention protocols are robustly maintained.
The home achieves positive outcomes by conducting thorough initial assessments and updating care plans as needs change. Staff receive regular supervision, e-learning, and practical training, such as the Care Certificate for new starters, ensuring they feel confident in their roles. While feedback on meals varied slightly, residents appreciate the daily choices, snacks, and access to small kitchenettes or a coffee machine. Healthcare professionals are contacted swiftly whenever health needs shift, and the premises feature dementia-friendly adaptations, accessible bathrooms, and safe outdoor areas.
Residents and relatives described the staff as exceptionally respectful, cheerful, and kind. Individuals are actively involved in decisions about their daily lives, and their personal histories and preferences are deeply respected by the team. Staff understand how to support people in maintaining important personal relationships, hosting visitors, and pursuing hobbies that bring them joy.
Care delivery is tailored to each individual, with staff utilizing detailed life stories and personal preferences to offer responsive support. Residents are encouraged to maintain independence where possible, choosing how to spend their time, whether joining communal activities or relaxing in quiet areas. When needs or routines change, the team adapts quickly to ensure support remains aligned with what the person wants and needs.
The management team fosters an open culture where staff feel supported and competent in their duties. Robust systems are in place to monitor overall quality, safety, and infection control, with lessons actively learned and shared following any incidents or errors. Management continually reviews and improves administrative processes, such as capacity assessments and legal safeguards, ensuring the home runs smoothly and safely for everyone.
