While families spoke warmly of the consistent staff team, the management's overall approach, and welcoming visiting policies, the inspection identified several important areas requiring improvement to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

In the area of safety, risk assessments and care plans were not always up to date and sometimes contained contradictory guidance for staff regarding mobility and health needs, while medicine management and stock audits also needed tighter oversight.

Regarding effectiveness, staff training and induction processes were not always comprehensive or regularly updated, and eating and drinking guidelines required clearer documentation to properly guide daily support.

On a caring level, relatives consistently praised the kindness of the staff and noted that residents were supported to maintain meaningful, regular contact with their loved ones.

For responsiveness, daily routines heavily focused on physical tasks, leaving limited time for social activities, hobbies, or meaningful interactions, though the home remained open and welcoming to visitors.

Finally, in terms of being well-led, the management was responsive to feedback and quick to take action during the inspection, building positive working relationships with local health professionals, though internal monitoring systems for staffing levels and care documentation required strengthening.
