Beaumont Manor is a care home located on Kirby Road, Great Holland, Frinton On Sea, Essex. This report details the findings of an inspection conducted on 26 June 2018 by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The inspection reviewed the service across five key areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led, with the aim of assessing the overall quality of care provided. The service has been operating since April 2017 and this was its first formal inspection.

On safety, residents and their families reported feeling secure, with staff knowledgeably handling welfare concerns and managing risks effectively. The home was found to have sufficient staffing levels to meet residents' needs promptly, and medication management was robust and well-recorded.

In terms of how effective the care is, staff were well-trained and equipped with the necessary skills, supported by ongoing development and regular supervision. The service demonstrated a strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, ensuring residents' well-being and decision-making processes.

Regarding the caring aspect, staff were described as kind and respectful, valuing residents and involving them in decisions about their care. There was a clear focus on maintaining residents' privacy and dignity throughout their care and support.

In terms of responsiveness, care plans were personalised to meet individual needs, and residents were encouraged to participate in a range of activities. Clear procedures were in place for residents to raise complaints, ensuring their concerns were addressed appropriately.

Finally, on how well-led the service is, the home fostered an open and friendly culture with an approachable registered manager. Feedback was actively sought and acted upon, with a strong commitment to quality monitoring and continuous improvement, incorporating the views of residents and staff.
