Overall, the service is viewed positively, with residents and their families generally feeling safe and well-cared for. The report highlights strengths in several areas, but also identifies specific points where improvements are being made or are recommended to further enhance the resident experience.
On safety, while residents generally feel secure and risks to their well-being are managed, there was a recommendation for refining the process of reporting safeguarding matters to ensure they are always handled according to policy. The home also uses a number of agency staff to cover vacancies, with a plan in place for ongoing recruitment, and a minor adjustment was suggested regarding the dating of topical medicines for disposal.
