The environment is homely, and residents are encouraged to maintain important relationships with friends and family. Staff promote independence, supporting individuals to make their own decisions.
On responsiveness, care plans are person-centred, reflecting individuals' preferences and needs, and staff are knowledgeable about these. People are actively encouraged to participate in enjoyable activities, both within and outside the home, and there is a clear complaints procedure in place.
In terms of leadership, the service is well-led, with staff feeling supported by the registered manager. Systems are in place to monitor the quality of care provided, and records are maintained accurately and confidentially. Feedback from people, relatives, and staff is actively sought and considered. The report does mention that the provider recently changed their statement of purpose to accommodate an additional person, which was noted at the time of inspection.
