Overall, the findings indicate that the service continues to provide a good standard of care. The report highlights the commitment of the staff and management to ensuring residents' well-being and dignity.
Regarding safety, residents are well-protected from harm. Risks are identified and managed, with sufficient staffing levels ensuring everyone receives appropriate care. Safeguarding procedures are in place, and staff are trained to recognise and respond to abuse. Medication is administered safely, and infection control measures are robust, maintaining a clean and odour-free environment.
In terms of how effective the care is, residents' needs are well-assessed and met by skilled and knowledgeable staff. Care plans are regularly reviewed, and staff receive ongoing training, including specialist areas. The environment is adapted to meet residents' needs, with personalised rooms and accessible communal areas. Residents have good access to healthcare professionals, and their choices regarding food and drink are respected.
The service is caring, with staff demonstrating compassion, kindness, and respect for residents. They are attentive to residents' needs, using various communication methods to understand their wishes. Residents are involved in decisions about their care, and their privacy, dignity, and independence are actively promoted. Relatives feel welcomed and informed, contributing to a homely atmosphere.

Residents are supported to pursue interests, with recent improvements in transport making outings more accessible. The service maintains open communication with relatives, and while there have been no formal complaints, concerns are addressed promptly. Plans are in place for future activities, such as a trip to Disneyland.
Finally, the service is well-led, with a dedicated management team committed to high-quality, person-centred care. The registered manager, though new to the role, has extensive experience within the home and is supported by a strong deputy. A quality assurance system is in place to monitor and improve services, and the team fosters an open and transparent culture. Regular meetings with staff and families ensure everyone is involved and informed.
