Residents are encouraged to come and go as they please, and their homes are personalised. Feedback from residents and relatives is actively sought and used to drive improvements.
Finally, concerning how well-led the service is, there is a clear ethos of empowering residents and valuing their independence, championed by the registered manager and staff. Staff feel supported and understand their roles, and quality checks are regularly conducted. While the service generally performs well, there is a recommendation to involve residents more in the selection of new staff to further enhance their control. The home is also developing its systems for accident and incident reporting to better identify patterns and trends.
